COLTS
GPS Rugby Club is proud to offer U18 Colts as well as U20 Colts competitions. Colts Rugby is designed as an introduction to senior Rugby for school leavers.
Lightning Series
The U18 Lightning Series is a BJRU sanctioned event that runs for 6 Weeks across the latter part of February and early March. The squad trains with our wider Colts and Senior program, and is a important stepping stone between school and club Rugby.

Colts
Competing in Queensland Premier Rugby competition, the Colts season runs across 16 weeks and is a key pathway to Premier Grade rugby. The GPS Rugby Club boasts a proud history of success within Colts competition, most recently winning the 2021 Colts 1 Premiership held at Suncorp Stadium.
In the last decade, more than 30 players have graduated through the Colts program and into the Premier Grade Side.
Old Boys Scholarship
The GPS Old Boys Rugby Scholarship was introduced in 2021 and is designed to support outstanding new and continuing 18 to 20-year-old male and female players who have demonstrated exceptional ability in rugby to combine a trade/tertiary education with high-performance sport. This scholarship is awarded based on the yearly available funding from donors. Amounts are awarded in consideration of the athlete’s highest level of sports achievement. This Scholarship has a one-year term and is open to new and continuing players.
