There will be vibrant atmosphere at St Lucia this Saturday when GPS play The University of Queensland in the top of the table encounter. The loss of talented hooker Feleti Kaitu’u to Christchurch has been tempered by the return of newly minted Wallaby Nick Frisby to the Gallopers line up.
The Gallopers will be out to test their abilities against a team that has been the hallmark of the Brisbane competition in the last few years. They will also will also want a third victory on the road before returning to our Fortress at Yoku in their next encounter against Wests Bulldogs. The main game kicks off at University at 3.20 pm but there is a lot of action in the lower grades before the main game. Both Premier Colts and Reserves are showing great signs of a successful year ahead and Saturdays matches will be important for them in the context of the season.
In a major promotion the GPS women’s team heads to Sunnybank for a gala day of rugby featuring five women’s games back to back with our team playing at 11.15 am.
We hope to see you at University Saturday. If you can’t make it the game is live streamed through Reds TV.
